The midfielder made just 12 Premier League appearances for the Blues last season
Crystal Palace and Southampton are reportedly in contention to sign Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
Drinkwater, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Leicester on deadline day last summer for £35million, only made 12 Premier League appearances last season.
And with new boss Maurizio Sarri in the early stages of implementing a stylish brand of football at the club, it appears Drinkwater’s days at Chelsea could be numbered.
Drinkwater, 28, had been linked with a move to West Ham towards the end of last season.
But according to the Daily Mirror, Palace and Southampton are weighing up a move for the player, who may be granted a loan move away from Stamford Bridge before the deadline on August 9.
