The German side have been linked with United’s French attacker, who looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer
Bayern Munich have spoken for the first time following reports suggesting they have held talks with Manchester United star Anthony Martial.
The Red Devils signed Martial for £36m from Monaco in 2015, however he is now seemingly headed for an Old Trafford exit after failing to secure a permanent first team position.
Martial is often rotated with the likes of Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard
It was reported on Sunday that the 22-year-old was now a target for Bayern and the German champions had already held discreet transfer talks with his representatives.
At a press conference on Monday to unveil the club’s new manager, Niko Kovac, Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić refused to deny this claim.
“These things we discuss internally,” said Salihamidžić at the presser.
“If there is something to tell you, we will do that.”
