It has led to growing reports that the 26-year-old is ready to go back to Italy and he is wanted by Fiorentina.
However, Gabbiadini does not want to leave Southampton and is ready to fight for his place.
The Italian has been made aware of Fiorentina’s interest but he has told them he is happy where he is.
Southampton had originally been tempted to cash in on Gabbiadini for the right price, but they now look set to keep him.
